INTRODUCING OURSELVES

The founding of the Zukunft Bildungswerk in 2015 was the initiative of Turgay Tahtabas, a resident of Essen who himself has a history of integration and has always been involved on a voluntary basis - parallel to his work with the Essen garbage collection service - in social initiatives, parent initiatives, integration policy (Integration Council) and as an education ambassador for the Turkish community. The Zukunft Bildungswerk was founded on the basis of this experience and the desire to set up his own projects.

The Zukunft Bildungswerk has organizational experience in educational projects in several districts of Essen. With our 10 locations and more than 20 partner schools and daycare centers, we reach over 1,400 children.

Thanks to our language support and cultural offerings, we are well networked in the Essen area. Thanks to our multilingual educational support staff, we have a strong connection to children, young people and their parents with and without experience of migration and refugee status. We are a dynamic and innovative partner in community work, education and cultural events for/with children and can adapt flexibly to requirements. We have thus established ourselves as a reliable partner for child and youth support in the city of Essen and the region.

We employ overabout 270 Educational support workers, prospective teacher training students/social workers, employees in bridging projects, 40 Permanent employees for various educational areas, artists and musicians and volunteers.
